Crowded Fire Theater announces On a Wonderverse by Geetha Reddy originally scheduled for an October 1-24 run will be presented in the 2016 season. To close its 2015 Season Crowded Fire Theater will present the American Premiere of TRUCK STOP by Lachlan Philpott directed by Marilee Talkington October 1- 24, 2015.

Based on real events, Truck Stop is a gut-punch of a play in which Australia's Lachlan Philpott shines the headlights on sex, gender, and growing up in the digital age. The Australian Stage called Truck Stop "a salutary insight into worrying contemporary teenage sexual mores and the resulting pressures ....disarmingly sophisticated, complex and well written...neither didactic nor sensational."

"We're thrilled to bring Lachlan's work to our mainstage after workshopping Truck Stop in our 2013 Matchbox Reading Series. It is a hauntingly beautiful piece that sticks with you, as Lachlan gives voice to teenagers in a way that feels honest, raw, and without judgment. He doesn't shy away from the complicated, messy, even ugly lives that they lead, but allows us to see how one might get there and how we as a society are sometimes complicit in that journey..." remarks Executive Producing Director Tiffany Cothran.

Philpott is an award-winning playwright in Australia whose work has been produced worldwide. His plays have been extensively developed at American theaters including San Francisco's ACT and the Magic. This production will be his first fully produced play in the United States.
