In an energetic salute to the gifted comedy of the late John Belushi and his partner in mischief, Dan Aykroyd, Harris Center/Three Stages proudly presents The Official Blues Brothers Revue for one performance only. The Chicago Sun-Times praises the Revue enthusiastically, "Infectious and unbridled energy.... it blows the roof off!"

The characters of Jake and Elwood Blues, created by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in 1978, were initially imagined as front men for a fictitious American blues and soul band. Since their film debut in 1980, the irreverent characters have resonated with people around the world and the Blues Brothers have catapulted into a cultural phenomenon and musical, comedic, and cinematic legend.

The Official Blues Brothers Revue will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2013; 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25-$39; Premium $49; Students with ID $12. Tickets are available online at www.harriscenter.net or from Harris Center Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Parking is included in the price of the ticket. Harris Center is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, CA, facing East Bidwell Street.

The Official Blues Brothers Revue, featuring Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty as Jake and Elwood, recreates the live concert experience, integrating the humor and songs from the original film and subsequent albums. Produced by Judy Belushi Pisano and Dan Aykroyd, the Revue pays homage to Chicago's rich history of blues, soul music and gospel in the true spirit of the original Blues Brothers.

Under the musical direction of Paul Shaffer, Jake, Elwood and the high-energy eight-piece Intercontinental Rhythm & Blues Revue Band lay down a big sound, performed with the passion and precision of the original Blues Brothers. Fun for all ages, The Official Blues Brothers Revue strikes the right balance of humor, music and mayhem.

According to Judy Belushi Pisano "Kieron and Wayne are not imitators; they live the music and embody those characters. They understand the soul of the Blues Brothers and revel in the joy in being Jake and Elwood."

Wayne Catania (Jake Blues) is an established and respected musician, actor, and creative writer with a career spanning four decades. In the late 1970's, Wayne's resemblance to the late, great John Belushi opened the door to showcasing his own formidable acting and musical talents onstage and onscreen. Wayne's charismatic and animated physical style was instrumental in being cast as Jake Blues in the Classic Blues Brothers Stage Show. Wayne is on the writing team with Judy Belushi Pisano, Anne Beatts (Saturday Night Live, Square Pegs) and with stage partner, Kieron Lafferty, recently finished writing the pilot for an action/comedy/musical TV show based on the further adventures of Jake & Elwood Blues.

Kieron Lafferty (Elwood Blues) is an actor, writer and musician from Toronto, Canada. He started his career as a singer songwriter, playing in the Toronto club circuit where he gained a solid reputation for his soulful vocals and melodic harmonica lines. As an actor, Kieron has had roles in a number of films, stage productions and commercials. He has also written scores for film, TV and documentaries. Off stage, he puts his versatile vocal ability in voice over for TV/radio commercials, narration and animation. Music and acting came together when Kieron joined the cast of the award winning Las Vegas show 'Legends in Concert' as Elwood Blues...a perfect fit for someone with his diverse range of talents. Along with Wayne Catania as Jake, their Blues Brothers act evolved beyond the Vegas show rooms and into its own touring show.
