LUMA, a spectacular light show that combines rhythmic gymnastics, dance, magic, puppetry and physics, comes to the Gallo Center for the Arts for one performance on Thursday, November 13 at 7 pm.

Tickets for the event range in price from $15 to $45, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

LUMA plunges audiences into a darkened space where a tapestry of illuminated illusions fills the stage. Using high and low technology, the work of shadowed performers splashes brilliant images of color and motion across the stage, interplaying shadow and light. The show has been seen in 15 countries.

Says the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, this show "brightens the spirits of audiences of all ages. It had the kids' attention from start to finish and even the adults oohed and aahed."

LUMA's appearance at the Gallo Center is sponsored by Alfred Matthews.
