Imagination Theatre to Hold Auditions for SOUTHFORK CONFESSIONS

Come find your role with the gold miners, stagecoach robbers, saloon mistresses, railroad barons, ladies packin' heat, and more! It's all part of an original play called SouthFork Confessions, set in the heart of 49er Gold Rush days! This musical offers both laughter and tears as it pays tribute to real and fictional characters seeking redemption in their amazing lives. Directed and co-written by theater veteran Chrissie Addison, the play features an original musical score designed by singer/songwriter Betsy Moore.

Auditions will be held on April 1 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Imagination Theater on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

Callbacks are April 2 from 9:30 - noon at the theater. Men, women, and teens 17+ are invited to help make history by bringing this powerful show to life. PerformancesSeptember 15 - October 8. Imagination Theater, located on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, brings quality, live, local community theater to Placerville and El Dorado County.

Imagination Theater (IT!) was founded in 1999 by Lanny Langston and Peter Wolfe. Together, they bring professionally administered, highly creative, youth- and family-oriented performing arts to our foothill community.

With nearly 60 years of combined theatrical experience, Lanny and Peter have led IT! to grow and excel as an award-winning performing arts company. To date they have produced over 45 plays including musicals, comedies, farces, dramas and children shows.

Over the years Imagination Theater has offered workshops covering all aspects of theater. Topics include: acting, directing, costume design, light design, sound design, set design and auditioning best practices. They have conducted three Musical/Drama Summer Camps for youth 13 to 21 years of age and through a generous grant, provide an intern program for high school students.
