Sierra Stages and Wolf Gait Studio are pleased to offer a two-part workshop led by local actor Bob Rossman today, October 18 and Saturday October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sierra Stages Rehearsal Studio in Nevada City.

"THE ACTOR MOVES 2: An Introduction to Movement and Physicality for the Theatre" introduces actors, artists, and theatre lovers to a basic foundation of movement and physicality for the theatre. The goal and focus of the workshop is to build the confidence that your body knows what to do - thus ending the age-old question, "What do I do with my hands?"

Rossman will draw from a wide background of training in fine arts, mime, modern dance, acting, directing, 3D animation, street theatre, mask, clown, Commedia del Arte and more; all in 5 hours. Participants should be prepared to move, as this is an active class. You must be able to pick a bean bag up off the floor (minimum requirement).

The fee for the 2-part workshop is $50.00. For further information and to reserve a space, visit www.SierraStages.org or call 530.346.3210.

The Sierra Stages production of the classic off-Broadway musical YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is playing now through October 12 at the Off Center Stage, 315 Richardson Street, Grass Valley (behind The Center for the Arts). In addition, on Wednesday September 24 at 7:30 PM at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, Sierra Stages and the Miners Foundry present an informal play reading of Jeffrey Mason's PURSUIT OF TRUTH as part of the "Theater by the Book" series.
