Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder's magical drama has its world premiere on the B3 stage.
The B Street Theatre is excited to present the world premiere of Provenance, Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder's charming metaphysical drama. Provenance is the 3rdproduction of the 2014 B3 series.
In this magical story, Cleo is a librarian high atop a mountain. Her self-imposed isolation is broken only to teach an older gentleman to read. The quiet routine of Cleo's life is disrupted by Frances, aworldly woman on a quest to read a list of 100 books. When the book that Frances seeks comes upmissing, Frances ingratiates herself into the library and Cleo'slife.
Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder's plays include The Bone Orchard, The Flag Maker of Market Street and Gee's Bend, which was commissioned by the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and published by Samuel French. The play was the recipient of the Osborn Award given by the American Theatre Critics Association and has been produced at ASF, Denver Center and the Cleveland Play House among others. Currently, Elyzabeth is the Tennessee Williams Playwright-in-Residence at Sewanee: The University of the South.
