2005 Drama Desk Award Winners Announced

The 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, May 22. The big winners of the night were Doubt and The Light in the Piazza, each of whom received 5 awards. Outstanding Musical however, went to Spamalot.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center proudly presents an evening with composer and lyricist William Finn, whose quirky, off-beat musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, has ascended from the ranks to conquer Broadway by recently garnering six Tony Award nominations, including nominations for Best Musical and Best Original Score.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, currently appearing as Leaf Coneybear in the hit Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, brings his solo show, ADIOS PANTALONES! The Music of William Finn and Michael John LaChuisa, back to Joe's Pub for three performances only-June 13, June 20 and July 4 at 9:30 PM.

Previews for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) production of MEMORY HOUSE, a new play by Kathleen Tolan (The Wax and Kate's Diary at Playwrights Horizons) are set to begin Friday, April 22 at 8 PM.
