Classic Stage Company (CSC; Artistic Director, John Doyle; Chief Operating Officer/General Manager, Toni Marie Davis) has announced a three-week extension, additional cast members, and the creative team for the company's highly anticipated, rapidly-selling-out staging of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins, directed by John Doyle. The production will now run April 2 a?' June 7 (opening April 16) at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater at Classic Stage Company (136 E. 13th St, New York), spanning ten weeks of Sondheim's 90th birthday year. Tickets for all extension performances will go on sale Tuesday, March 10, at noon EST.

God Bless us, everyone! My childhood came back to me while witnessing the holiday classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This annual production by Actors Theatre of Louisville hit all the high notes on opening night and delivered a magical feast for the eyes, ears, and heart. After four decades this production still thrills and delivers the message of redemption and kindness from the past, present, and future. I was so happy to experience it among many families and I especially enjoyed hearing and seeing children's reactions to the show.

Actors Theatre of Louisville and Artistic Director Robert Barry Fleming announce the upcoming holiday season favorites: Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, beginning November 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, and The Santaland Diaries, based on the essay by David Sedaris, beginning November 24 in the Victor Jory Theatre. On May 6th and 7th, the Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC), Utah's leading destination for brave, contemporary theatre, presented the Utah premiere of David Henry Hwang's 1981 play, THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD. The special event is being presented as part of statewide festivities organized by Utah's Transcontinental Railroad 150th Celebration Commission, also known as Spike 150, which was founded by the Utah State Legislature and Governor Gary Herbert.
