Interview: Tricia Corcoran of RAGTIME at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre
by Andrea Stephenson - Apr 9, 2024

Ragtime, based on the 1975 novel by E. L. Doctorow, premiered in Toronto in 1996 before opening on Broadway in 1998. The musical, by Terrance McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens, tells the story of the United States in the early 20th century, focusing on the experiences and tensions that existed (and still exist) between different groups of people. It is a beautiful, thoughtful, and thought-provoking show, and audiences can experience it on stage at Dutch Apple through May 12th. Tricia Corcoran, who portrays Emma Goldman, spoke with BroadwayWorld about this production of Ragtime.

A wild ride of naughty night club numbers, love affairs, and smuggling, overshadowed by the rise of Nazi power in Germany, create a night filled with strong and mixed emotions. Susquehanna Stage's production of Cabaret captured this spirit and entertained theater goers.

BWW Review: GRUMPY OLD MEN at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre
by Rich Mehrenberg - Feb 20, 2020

One of the Act 1 numbers in Grumpy Old Men the Musical is titled, 'I Like The Way Things Are'. The lyrics deal with a dislike for change and a strong appreciation for 'the good old days'. This message could also extend to the musical itself. The show is based on the very funny and very popular 1993 movie of the same name starring Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret. It begs the question, why mess with success?

BWW Review: GRUMPY OLD MEN at Broadway Palm
by Fran Thomas - Jan 4, 2020

Going to see Broadway Palm's latest production, Grumpy Old Men, did this baby boomer's heart good. This show demonstrates that senior citizens can still fall in love and are still-gasp!-interested in sex. The seasoned performers belt out the songs and deliver the somewhat bawdy lines and gestures with impressive vigor.

BWW Review: MY FAIR LADY at EPAC
by Rich Mehrenberg - Dec 7, 2019

...an enjoyable show that is true to the original, but is a little too much on the safe side. The look, sound, and dynamics of the show seem to be lacking that certain 'EPAC signature' that audience have come to expect. This production would feel equally at home at the Fulton, Hershey, York, or many other Central Pennsylvania theater companies.
