Following the success of the first series, In the Wings is returning from Friday 25th September for a second glorious series. 

Following its huge success in June and July, IN THE WINGS is set to return later this summer for 6 glorious weeks of free-to-view episodes.  The episode dates will follow later this month.

BURIED, a razor-sharp new musical featuring music and lyrics by Cordelia O'Driscoll, book and lyrics by Tom Williams and orchestrations and musical direction by Olivia Doust will be making its U.S. premiere at the New York Musical Festival this Summer. The dark comedy about two serial killers who discover each other's life's passion while out on a blind date has been lauded in the U.K. for its biting wit and soaring, soulful score and will run July 9-14 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced the first ever NYMF Artist Fellowship, a two-year program that will be awarded annually to an exceptional artist of note who is changing the landscape of musical theater. The fellowship involves the presentation of a reading or concert in the first year of the fellowship and a full production in the second year.

Particularly in light of the 2016 documentary I Am Not Your Negro, author and civil rights activist James Baldwin is garnering new attention and appreciation for his astute analyses of race, class, and sexuality in U.S. culture. Our reading group will take up his groundbreaking semi-autobiographical first novel, Go Tell It on the Mountain (1953). Attendees are invited to read this seminal text that brought mid-20th Century African-American literature out of the shadow of Richard Wright while deftly exploring the post-Civil War Great Migration, its southern roots, its religious inflections, and its generational tensions. The suggested edition is the most recent paperback (ISBN 978-0345806543). Traditional New Orleans fare of coffee and beignets at Muriel's Jackson Square with lively discussion to follow led by Festival favorite and Southern literary scholar Gary Richards.
