Due to the huge success of the live-streamed performances of 'The Gruffalo' as well as the very sad news that the 'in-person' run of 'The Gruffalo's Child' at Alexandra Palace had to be canceled due to London's Tier 3 restrictions, leading family theatre company Tall Stories will make the recording of 'The Gruffalo' live-stream performance available to audiences across the country.

Coventry's Belgrade Theatre will host its second virtual theatre tour this October when Tall Stories (The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom) bring the tale of The Snail and the Whale to life on stage. Inspired by the much-loved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, their acclaimed adaptation will be streamed live to Coventry families on 28 Oct.

Tall Stories Theatre Company Will Open A Rehearsal and Performance Space In Central Library, Islington

Tall Stories, the internationally recognised storytelling theatre company, is partnering with Islington Council to transform a currently unused section of Central Library into a storytelling hub for the company. The project will create an administrative base for the company, alongside a large studio space suitable for rehearsals and performances for an audience of up to 80. Tall Stories, a registered charity, will be contributing to the capital costs of the project, and will be renting the space from the library as part of the partnership.

Olivier award nominated and renowned theatre company Tall Stories celebrates its 21st birthday in 2018 with a stellar year of productions including a brand new show for grown-ups. The 1997 Edinburgh Fringe saw the premiere of the company's first show, 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories', adapted from Oscar Wilde's fairy tales. 21 years later, the company returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with two distinctive Wilde adaptations: the world premiere of 'THE CANTERVILLE GHOST' (definitely not suitable for under 12s) and the Edinburgh premiere of 'WILDE CREATURES' (for ages 5 and over) - straight from London's West End.

THE GRUFFALO to Return to South Africa Following Sold-Out Debut

Currently enjoying its 15th anniversary at the Lyric Theatre, where it runs until 8 January, The Gruffalo Live returns to South Africa this December. The national tour follows on from a sell-out run at the Cape Town Fringe where the production made its debut this September. This also marked the first time Tall Stories' smash-hit production had been staged on the African continent. Having previously toured to over 500 venues across the globe, The Gruffalo Live first opened on 12 May 2001 at Chester Gateway theatre and since then has performed in 15 countries and 6 continents, played twice at the Sydney Opera House, twice on Broadway, once at the National Theatre and is now in its ninth West End season.
