MadLab Theatre will present Snowville Cafe in February and Carl Flunt Would Protect You from Trucks in March.

It’s uncomfortable to watch at times and left its audience shifting in their seats, but its poignant message strikes a chord with many of its viewers.

Stuffed in their Uptown apartment, actress Lucy and working stiff Ethan mourn the recent loss of their stillborn child while struggling to forgive each other their failings and bridge the ever-widening gulf between them. Lucy lives in seclusion, obsessively crafting the perfect Facebook post to memorialize a daughter she’ll never know while Ethan strives to project an air of “everything’s fine” on the eve of a family celebration.

Very Covid Christmas is a collection of 8 short plays specifically written to incorporate social distancing, PPE, and/or protective barriers between actors. Performances will be limited to 15% or less of our total capacity to ensure appropriate distancing among audience members, and masks are required at all times.

For 2019-20, MadLab is getting it's...stuff together.  This season, our full lengths tell the stories of struggling characters trying to keep it together while dealing with hilarious and heartbreaking life events.  In addition to those 3 shows, it is another jam packed year including their 21st Theatre Roulette, their 8th Young Writer's Short Play Festival, the latest version of Date Night and more.  Details below:

Science fiction meets the holiday spirit and gets sexy in this sketch comedy show written by the MadLab Ensemble and Friends. Everything from Santa to Spock (or robots to reindeer) is up for grabs in this original new show.
