Luke Combs Extends 'What You See Is What You Get Tour'

ACM, CMA and CMT Award-winning artist Luke Combs will continue his extensive “What You See Is What You Get Tour” this fall including his headline debut at New York's Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, December 1. Additional stops include Raleigh's PNC Arena, Dallas' American Airlines Center, San Francisco's Chase Center, Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena, Chicago's United Center, Orlando's Amway Center and Boston's TD Garden among several others. The newly confirmed dates will feature Combs performing with a new in-the-round stage design.

Debra Rathwell to be Inducted Into the Canadian Music Industry Hall Fame

Canadian Music Week today announced that Debra Rathwell, Executive VP, Global Touring & Talent at AEG Presents, will be inducted into the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame. Debra will be honoured for her remarkable career in the music industry at the annual Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards Gala at Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She will also give a Keynote Interview prior to the Awards as part of the Canadian Music Week Music Summit at the Sheraton Centre.

The Recording Academy® has confirmed the final slate of performers for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. Previously announced Gary Clark Jr., will be joined by The Roots to perform Clark's GRAMMY-nominated song 'This Land.' Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty will unite to honor those we have lost this year in a touching In Memoriam piece. And, Sheila E. will take the stage with Usher for an exciting GRAMMY Salute to Prince. Live from STAPLES Center, and hosted by Alicia Keys, the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Jan. 26at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) is thrilled to announce multi-platinum award-winning singer and songwriter Jann Arden as the first 2020 inductee into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. With accolades that include 19 top 10 singles and eight JUNO Awards, Arden is a beloved Canadian musical artist and personality. To celebrate her induction during The 49th Annual JUNO Awards on Sunday, March 15, 2020, Arden will grace the stage and perform live from the SaskTel Centre. Fans can tune in to this special performance as part of The 2020 JUNO Awards broadcast live in Canada on CBC, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and the CBC Listen app. The awards will also be available for audiences outside of Canada to stream at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

Hawktail Releases Sophomore Album FORMATIONS

Known collectively as Hawktail, fiddler Brittany Haas, bassist Paul Kowert, guitarist Jordan Tice, and mandolinist Dominick Leslie are proud to share their much-anticipated sophomore album, Formations today. With the help of co-producer Chris “Critter” Eldridge, the band recorded the album in just four days at Nashville's Southern Ground Studios. The album has received high praise from critics, including NPR Music who complimented the band's “rustic” sound on All Songs Considered's “New Music Friday” this morning. No Depression commented, “As new album Formations proves, the band members defy expectations based on other projects or instruments of choice by constantly pushing each other's creative boundaries,” while Folk Alley praised the band's unprecedented musicianship, noting, “We simply haven't seen these instruments played this way and with this exuberance... except by Hawktail.” The group will begin touring this month at Folk Alliance in New Orleans, followed by two Nashville performances including an album release show at Little Harpeth Brewing and a special performance at the Grand Ole Opry on February 1. Formations is available today, click here to purchase or stream.

The '90s influenced country band Hot Country Knights has inked a worldwide recording deal with Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN), it was announced today. Teaming with imprint Capitol Records Nashville, the Knights are promising to bring real '90s country music back to a format that's been drowning in male sensitivity, cashmere cardigan sweaters and programmed drum loops.

ACM, CMA and CMT Award-winning artist Luke Combs wrapped his massive “Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour” this past weekend with two sold-out shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Following the landmark performances, The Tennessean declared Combs “country music's newest giant,” while The Boot asserted, “Combs' Nashville concerts showed that his superstar trajectory is still only at its beginning.” In addition to openers Morgan Wallen and Jameson Rodgers, the Nashville shows also featured special guest performances from Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban and Old Crow Medicine Show. In celebration of the tour, fans can now experience one of Combs' shows in its entirety, on-demand, in virtual reality through MelodyVR.

Due February 7, 2020 via the California-based Blackbird Record Label, the album was co-produced by IAN with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott (Wilco, Tom Petty).
