Westside School of Ballet announces long time beloved teacher, Joan Bayley, passed away on January 5th 2022, just shy of her 102nd birthday. Often called “The Greatest Dance Teacher There Ever Was,” the dance world was forever changed for the better because of Joan Bayley. (“Joan.”)

Angel of Arkansas, a new show by Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor, will premiere in the 175-seat Renkus-Heinz Theatre at Notoriety Live at Neonopolis on Jan. 30.

Boca Stage presents The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe. This one-woman show by Elton Townend Jones has entranced audiences internationally, garnering raves for its insight into the psyche of the most famous movie star in the world.

In the visual directed by renowned choreographer, artist, and director Charm La’Donna [The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar], Meghan sits with her infant son Riley as she reads him his own fairytale in Rileys Book. The clip intercuts vignettes of the superstar as she wraps presents flanked by backup singers in a Marilyn Monroe-style satin robe.

Full casting has been announced for the brand-new touring production of Jim Cartwright’s The Rise And Fall of Little Voice, produced by Katy Lipson and Glass Half Full Productions, directed by Bronagh Lagan (Cruise, West End; Little Women The Musical, Park Theatre/ Hope Mill) and starring international YouTube sensation Christina Bianco in the title role.
