On Saturday March 7, the NJCU Center for the Arts presents the celebrated documentary 'Bill Evans: Time Remembered' which captures the genius of the legendary pianist through interviews, rare archival footage, and conversations with great musicians such as Jack DeJohnette and Tony Bennett. The program takes place at Ingalls Recital Hall on the Jersey City campus of NJCU and features a pre-screening concert with pianist Joel Zelnik, bassist Gary Mazzaroppi, and drummer David Cox.

The 48th season of the popular Highlights In Jazz continues on March 19, 2020, when producer Jack Kleinsinger presents 'Ellington Everlasting.' The concert turns the spotlight on the maestro's timeless compositions and enduring legacy, through the dynamic vision of featured performers like trombonist Art Baron & The Duke's Men, drummer Bernard Purdie, bassist Bill Crow, saxophonists Bill Easley and Mark Hynes, pianist James Weidman and vocalist Ira Hawkins. In keeping with the beloved HIJ tradition, a surprise special guest will be on hand for the concert, to be held at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.

New York vocalist Kendra Shank pays tribute to her friend and mentor Abbey Lincoln (1930 - 2010) in a program of songs composed by the legendary singer, songwriter, actress, poet, civil rights activist, and NEA Jazz Master whose powerful messages of love, struggle, hope, and freedom are timeless and timely. Shank's CD A Spirit Free: Abbey Lincoln Songbook (2007, the first Lincoln songbook ever recorded) received a New York Times Critics' Choice, 4 stars in DownBeat, and numerous 'Best of the Year' awards, among other accolades.

On December 6, the Roberta Piket Sextet will pay tribute to the music of legendary jazz pianist and NPR radio host Marian McPartland, a close friend of Piket's who passed away in 2013 at the age of 95. An acclaimed pianist, organist, composer, and arranger, Piket will be joined in concert by the five-time Grammy-nominated vocalist Karrin Allyson.

In this one-night-only event, three of New York City's most in-demand music directors will reinterpret and honor the extraordinary artists Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Before they joined Fleetwood Mac, the dynamic duo released one masterpiece self-titled album. Soon after, their luscious hit songs ( Rhiannon, Monday Morning, Landslide, and Don't Let Me Down Again ) were in heavy radio rotation. And then, the Rumours album gave us Dreams, Go Your Own Way, I Don't Want To Know, and The Chain.

Box office hours are Tuesday-Today, Noon-5pm, and then beginning three hours prior to each performance, through intermission.
