59E59 Theaters welcomes the Off Broadway premiere of TECH SUPPORT, written and directed byDebra Whitfield. Produced by Chatillion Stage Company, TECH SUPPORT begins performances on Thursday, August 29 for a limited engagement through Saturday, September 21.

Brennan O'Rourke will present their first full-length play IT'S A BLUR as part of The Queerly Festival, presented by Frigid New York, on Friday, June 28 at 7pm at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003). The play, a work-in-progress, is written and produced by Brennan O'Rourke and directed by Salome Egas.

Fresh Ink is pleased to announce six new plays as part of the 2019/2020 season! For our ninth year of developing and producing local new work, Fresh Ink will feature two plays as part of our full development cycle, with each script receiving a reading and workshop before a word premiere production in winter/spring 2020. In addition, we will showcase the work of four additional playwrights as part of our fall Ink Spot Festival, which we continue to expand as a platform for additional script development and a celebration of some of Boston's most exciting local writers.

THE BIGOT, a new hot topic and dark comedy by Gabi & Eva Mor that mixes social commentary, family drama and a lot of humor, has been garnering a wave of rave reviews from audiences and critics alike during its run.

A kitschy yet cerebral, retro mash-up film titled The History of Everything Circa 1993 to the Present: Formerly Known as Kissy Cousins, Monster Babies and Morphing Elvis, directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Wayne J. Keeley and co-produced by his wife, Emmy-nominated Stephanie C. Lyons-Keeley, (along with Emmy Award-winning business partner and friend Craig Dobson) will screen at Manhattan Repertory Theatre's STORIES Film Festival which takes place May 15 - 19, 2019, just a block from Times Square.

It took an Australian, with a little help from Leonardo da Vinci, to bring to New York some of America's greatest past icons. How? The bigger question is: Did da Vinci's great range of inventions include a time machine?

Unstoppable Theater will present, in association with Jenna Grossano and Less Than Rent Theatre, the New York premiere of AUNT JACK by S.P. Monahan (DIVA: LIVE FROM HELL), under the direction of John Lampe at Theater for the New City's Community Space, June 7-28, 2019.

THE JIMMY AWARDS announces the 2019 INSPIRING TEACHER AWARD will be given to Matthew Hinson, Northwest School of the Arts, Charlotte, North Carolina and Tasha Partee, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Woodmere, New York for the encouragement and inspiration that led their students to win the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor.

The Bigot, a timely new play and dark comedy by Gabi & Eva Mor that mixes social commentary, family drama and a lot of humor will have a full Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46thStreet) April 26 through June 9. The official opening night is set for Wednesday, May 1. Michael Susko will direct the production that features acclaimed Broadway actor Stephen Payne (Straight White Men, Of Mice and Men, Superior Donuts andAugust: Osage County) in the lead role. The full cast and creative team will be announced shortly.

Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) will present a one-night staged reading of Bambi Everson's new play, Sincerely Held Beliefs. The reading is part of EAT's biannual New Work Series and will take place on March 10 at 7 pm at TADA Theater in the Flatiron District. The reading will be followed by a brief talkback.

The Village Playwrights meet the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Everyone is welcome. $5 suggested donation.

Piccione's controversial, semi-autobiographical drama about living with mental illness and Asperger's syndrome - returns in May for an open-ended run of monthly performances at the Kraine Theater, home to some of the most cutting-edge artists in independent theatre.
