A new season of The History of the World in 100 Performances with Adam Gopnik begins on Monday, April 3, at the David Rubenstein Atrium, with a look at the career of the great American soprano Leontyne Price. Joining Gopnik are internationally renowned soprano Renee Fleming and rising soprano Julia Bullock. Interspersed with audio and video clips, they will discuss Ms. Price's extraordinary career and the significance of the pioneering African-American soprano's role on the world's stages. This production at Artists Rep will be the final stage performances of Smith's piece that has been touring since 2012. Netflix will release the new film Rodney King, directed by Spike Lee, starring Smith, on April 28.
