Playwright Chiara Atik has won the 2022 Harold and Mimi Steinberg / American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award for their play “Poor Clare.”

British playwright Nick Payne's award-winning play, Constellations, will run at the Gene Frankel Theatre in New York City from April 6 - 24. The critically acclaimed play stars Francesca Ravera and Michael Chinworth. Kim T. Sharp directs.

Stage North, the Twin Cities' newest professional theater, has announced its next production: The Family Line, a new play by Lee Blessing.

Constellations: Fate, Love, and the Power of Theatre. The Lambs hosts a discussion of the play 'Constellations' by Nick Payne, the Tony nominated Broadway romantic comedy. A revival of the show will run from April 6 through April 24 at The Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, New York NY 10012).

Actors Theatre of Indiana will welcome the talented Hollywood star Richard Riehle to their upcoming TheatreLAB Series reading of Lee Blessing's A Family Line on November 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. The Reading will be presented at The Studio Theater at The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, IN.

Actors Theatre of Indiana will present its next production in the 2021-2022 season beginning October 29, 2021 and running through November 21, 2021. LOMBARDI is the story of the complex and charismatic Vince Lombardi, coach of the 1965 champion Green Bay Packers, and his wife Marie.

Actors Theatre of Indiana will have Pulitzer Prize, TONY and Olivier Award nominee Lee Blessing joining them for their TheatreLab #2 in The Studio Theater on November 13, 2021. The Studio Theater is located within The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, IN.

If you've never had an opportunity to see an original production, you now have your chance. On Saturday, November 13, for a 2 p.m. Matinee, ATI will present TheatreLAB #2, The Family Line, by Lee Blessing.

Durango PlayFest today announced the actors who will headline three plays being developed at its new works festival, as well as the directors for each play. The August 5-8 event brings nationally recognized actors, playwrights and directors to Durango to incubate new plays, hold events for the community, and culminate the week with staged readings.

Over half will return within three years. Determined, these ten share their stories while working hard to stay on the road to redemption. 

As the industry and theater artists grapple with equity and the many issues facing the field, the 2021-2024 Core Writers Mathilde Dratwa, L M Feldman, Franky D. Gonzalez, Yilong Liu, TyLie Shider, Deborah Yarchun, and Nathan Yungerberg will be given the space and support to create over the next three years.

While the theater field remains uncertain yet cautiously optimistic that 2021 will see a return to in-person performances, there is no uncertainty around the systemic inequalities that have been exposed and amplified during the pandemic. Pre-pandemic 'business as usual' will not be enough when theaters open their doors again.
