After wrapping up a critically acclaimed summer season under its outdoor theater tent, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is heading indoors. Under the direction of Mike Donahue (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Annie Baker's adaptation of Uncle Vanya), HVSF actors and Foley artists will transport audiences back to the classic age of radio drama in the intimate setting of the Boscobel Mansion to present Suspense! Halloween Radio, two spine-tingling radio dramas The Hitchhiker and Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher. Performances are October 28-31 and November 4-8. All performances begin at 7pm. A special reception will follow the performances on October 28 and October 31. Tickets for those performances are $70. Tickets for all other performances are $50. Seniors, members of the military, and students receive applicable discounts. Included are: Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly in Old Times by Harold Pinter, directed by Douglas Hodge; Andrea Martin, Campbell Scott, Tracee Chimo, Daniel Davis, David Furr, Kate Jennings Grant, Megan Hilty, Rob McClure and Jeremy Shamos in Noises Off by Michael Frayn, directed by Jeremy Herrin; The Humans by Stephen Karam, directed by Joe Mantello; Keira Knightley, Gabriel Ebert, Matt Ryan and Judith Light in a new adaptation of Therese Raquin by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet; Laura Benanti, Josh Radnor, Rene Auberjonois, Gavin Creel, Michael McGrath and Jane Krakowski in She Loves Me by Joe Masteroff, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, directed by Scott Ellis; Jessica Lange, Gabriel Byrne, Michael Shannon and John Gallagher, Jr. in Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill, directed by Jonathan Kent. The 2015-2016 Roundabout Underground production is Ugly Lies the Bone, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor. Scott is playing the role of Astrov, the forlorn visionary philosopher in this timeless play in which tempers flare and passions are ignited when an aging professor returns with his beautiful young wife to his family's country estate. In an interesting spin, the Weston production is set in contemporary Vermont.
