Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Stellar Songs have signed stand-out new British rap talent Octavian to a worldwide deal via their joint venture.

Richmond Triangle Players is proud to announce that theater legend Charles Busch will launch RTP's 2018-19 Cabaret Season with his acclaimed show "My Kinda 60s".  Performances are Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, both at 8 pm.

After appearing together nationwide in symphony concerts and being paired as co-stars in two hit New York productions - first, Stephen Sondheim's dark and emotional Passion at Classic Stage Company, followed by Yip Harburg & Burton Lane's delicious and politically-edged fairy tale Finian's Rainbow at Irish Repertory Theatre, Melissa Errico and Ryan Silverman just offered their first duo show together at Feinstein's/54 Below, "Broadway Romance" which played to sold-out crowds last week on August 6 & 7.

Today Courtney Barnett, one of the most acclaimed and exceptional artists of her generation, shares the latest fruits of her labor – a live version of “Tell Me How You Really Feel” favorite “Charity”, and a poignant and sublime cover of Elyse Weinberg's “Houses”.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' Live & Local Fridays concert series opens on Sept. 7 and showcases eight Arizona groups spanning rockabilly-honky tonk, indie-folk, African rhythms, blues, hip-hop, folk-rock, jazz, indie-rock and pop on Friday evenings through Sept. 28.

Singer-songwriter, actress and producer Rita Wilson makes her return to Cafe Carlyle, October 16-20 with Rita Wilson: Liner Notes. Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote of her debut residency: '[If you] closed your eyes at certain moments you could imagine you were cruising down a Southern California highway in the early 1970s. Sandwiched between the music of Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne on the car radio was a promising new voice whose sound fit right in with theirs.' Rita Wilson's forthcoming residency will go 'behind the music' to discover stories leading to songs that have become the soundtrack to so many lives. The performances will include friends who just happen to have written some of the most memorable songs of this century and last - for fascinating revelations about how their creations came to be.

Olivia D'Ambrosio's vision for DARK ROOM is an artistic blend of spoken dialogue, choreographed movement, evocative sounds and music, and the best use of the architectural features of the space at the Multicultural Arts Center in East Cambridge. George Brant's play is inspired by the life, death, and photography of Francesca Woodman, and Bridge Rep employs a cast of 22 women to portray the subjects of Woodman's works.

Now celebrating 20 years as a mainstay in the Indianapolis arts and culture scene, the annual Indy Jazz Fest returns in 2018 with a 10-day lineup celebrating the legacy of jazz, modern masters and the discovery of new jazz stars. Indy Jazz Fest returns this year with "The Big Beat" to celebrate and honor the spirit of Art Blakey. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.

Franklin Stage Company will present a weekend packed with music and laughter, starting with a performance by NY cabaret sensation Julian Fleisher and His Rather Big Band on Friday, August 3rd at 7:30pm. A Saturday afternoon show follows at 2:00pm for Circus Minimus, a one-man circus in a suitcase, written and performed by Kevin O'Keefe. Saturday August 4th at 7:30m Fleisher takes the stage again, followed by an encore performance of Circus Minimus on Sunday Aug 5 at 3:00pm.

Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome nationally known singer-songwriter and Crystal Lake native Megon McDonough to the stage with "Dedicated to the Ones I Love: Great Women Singers of the '50s, '60s and '70s." This show will honor the greatest women singers of a generation at 8 p.m. on August 24, 2018.

The Carlyle announces the Cafe Carlyle's fall 2018 season, which features the venue debut of singers/actresses Jane Lynch & Kate Flannery; as well as the return of audience favorites Alexa Ray Joel, Herb Alpert & Lani Hall, Rita Wilson, John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey, and Steve Tyrell.
