Handel And Haydn Society And Conductor Rinaldo Alessandrini Present Bach's Easter Oratorio

Esteemed Italian conductor Rinaldo Alessandrini joins the Handel and Haydn Society for the award-winning organization's performances of Bach's Easter Oratorio. The Gramophone award winner and Grammy nominee will be front and center March 31 + April 2, 2023, at Symphony Hall in Boston. The concerts will also include Antonio Bononcini's Stabat Mater.

Handel And Haydn Society's Emi Ferguson Performs First Solo With Mozart First Concerto

The Handel and Haydn Society's principal flutist, Emi Ferguson, will make her solo debut with H+H in Mozart's Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major. The performance will be part of a pair of H+H concerts March 17 + 19, 2023 at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall. The concerts will show the brilliance of the classical period with works from Mozart + Mendelssohn. David Stern, founder of Opera Fuoco in France, will conduct.

Handel And Haydn Society Presents GLORIES OF BACH

The Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra and Chorus will showcase the radiant depth of JS Bach's musical genius with Glories of Bach on October 7 + 9, 2022 at Symphony Hall. Jonathan Cohen, founder and artistic director of Arcangelo, will lead the H+H Orchestra, replacing Bernard Labadie who withdrew due to health issues. H+H will bring its signature style and historically informed approach to three works by Bach and a pair of works by one of Bach's personal heroes Dietrich Buxtehude, including the H+H premiere of his emotional Cantata, “Nimm von uns, Herr.”

The Handel and Haydn Society celebrates the joys of Baroque music with Bach + Vivaldi Gloria. The program features three crown jewels of the Baroque era: Vivaldi's sunny Gloria; CPE Bach's Magnificat, featuring festive trumpets and drums; and J.S. Bach's radiant Orchestral Suite No. 1. The H+H Orchestra and Chorus will be joined by soprano Joélle Harvey, tenor Nicholas Phan, baritone Tyler Duncan, and conductor Jonathan Cohen, founder and artistic director of Arcangelo and leader of Quebec's Les Violons du Roy. The concerts will take place Friday, April 1st at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 3rd at 3 p.m. at Symphony Hall in Boston.
