Grammy-Award-nominated singer and actress Janelle Monáe is the latest high-profile artist to join the upcoming musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Monáe joins the previously announced Missy Elliott, Brian Tyree Henry, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Monáe's screen credits include Moonlight, Hidden Figures, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery where she portrayed twins Cassandra and Helen Brand.

All Things Go Festival 2024 has announced its 10th-anniversary edition, with headliners Laufey, who will be accompanied by The Kennedy Center Orchestra, Hozier, and Reneé Rapp as well as Bleachers, Janelle Monáe, Conan Gray, Chappell Roan and more. They will be performing at the legendary Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on Saturday, September. 28th, and Sunday, September 29th. Catya McMullen (pictured), a native New Yorker, now finds herself at home in Los Angeles. While working in film and television, her life-long love of theater inspired her to write plays. The world premiere of Arrowhead is her first being presented here, produced by IAMA at Atwater Village Theatre, directed by Jenna Worsham. I decided to speak with Catya about her journey to writing the play, why she set it in Arrowhead, its themes, and how it speaks to different generations of women about love and sexual identity.
