In response to the recent COVID-19 limitations affecting the theatre community and beyond, Normal Ave is excited to announce QuaranStream, a free series of commissioned world premiere digital play readings on Facebook Live and IGTV. Normal Ave will be canceling the remainder of it's live programing for the 2019-20 season, including the revival of Suzan Lori-Parks' The Book of Grace. Normal Ave will resume in-person programming in the Fall of 2020.

Winners have been announced for the 22nd CDGA (Costume Designers Guild Awards) which took place earlier this evening at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Executive produced by JumpLine, the annual CDGA celebrated excellence in film, television, and short form Costume Design as voted on by the Guild's membership. The CDG includes more than 1,100 Costume Designers and Illustrators working in motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos, and new media programs throughout the world.

Netflix has released the trailer for season two of YOU!

The five night binge-a-thon begins on Thursday, October 25th at 10 PM ET/PT. A reimagining of the 1988 cult-classic film, Paramount Network will air two episodes a night, from October 25th to October 29th.

The plug has been pulled on the modern re-boot of the 80's teen homicide flick, Heathers, at the Paramount Network. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that despite Viacom's decision not to move forward with the series at this time, they hope to shop the project elsewhere.

Selma Blair turned to Instagram to share the news that she will appear in a recurring role in Paramount Network's dark comedy anthology series HEATHERS, premiering in 2018. The series will be based on the 1988 cult classic film.

Paramount Network's highly-anticipated launch in 2018 will kick-off with a programming lineup featuring a mix of new, high-quality, premium entertainment scripted series, non-scripted returning pop-culture favorites, and original sports and specials for a broad audience.

As a musical theater librettist, lyricist and lifelong connoisseur of Broadway and Hollywood musicals, Frank Evans would have been extremely sad to learn about the passing of screen legend Debbie Reynolds on December 28. But given his sense of humor and ability for self-deprecation, Evans might have also gotten a perverse kick out of knowing he died on the same day as one of his film favorites. Franklin G. Evans, 70, died last Wednesday evening at Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn, due to complications from multiple strokes that ravaged his brain over the last couple of months of 2016. Evans, who also suffered from Parkinson's-related dementia and diabetes, had spent the last year rehabilitating from a serious concussion sustained last December.

HH Productions, LLC, in association with The York Theatre Company will present a special staged reading of the new musical HOWARD, written by Frank Evans (Book and Lyrics) and James Scully (Music), directed by Jennifer Paulson-Lee, conducted by Jeff Saver and musical supervision/arrangements by Scott Cady.  HOWARD will be presented at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (248 West 60 Street, NYC 10023) on Wednesday, January 27th at 1PM; Thursday, January 28th at 1PM; and Friday, January 29th at 1PM. Fifteen years after Columbine, with school shootings continuing to proliferate the national headlines, Nathaniel Sam Shapiro's The Erlkings will get its world premiere.
