FIRST DATE Musical Heading to Broadway's Longacre Theatre This July!

Tony Award-winning producer Junkyard Dog Productions (Memphis) has just announced FIRST DATE, Broadway's new musical comedy, has set the date to open at The Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street), Sunday, August 4, 2013. With a book by Austin Winsberg (“Gossip Girl”), music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (Secondhand Lions, Twice Charmed), choreographed by Josh Rhodes (Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella) and directed by Bill Berry (Producing Director of The 5th Avenue Theatre), FIRST DATE begins performances Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Steppenwolf's HEAD OF PASSES Begins 4/4

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues the 2012/13 subscription season with the world premiere of Head of Passes by ensemble member Tarell Alvin McCraney, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau. Head of Passes features ensemble members Alana Arenas and Tim Hopper with James T. Alfred, Kyle Beltran, Chris Bokin, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Glenn Davis and Jacqueline Williams (one actor is still to be announced). Head of Passes begins previews April 4 (Opening night is April 14, 2013; Press performances are April 13 at 3pm and April 16 at 7:30pm) and runs through July 9 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).
