The Cabaret is continuing its 10th year of music and merriment with a diverse selection of highly acclaimed artists.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

The New Jersey City University Center for the Arts presents the 7th Annual NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band Concert on Friday, September 6 at 6 p.m. on the J. Owen Grundy Pier, Exchange Place, in Jersey City. Conducted by Professor Emeritus Richard Lowenthal, this free concert features trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and vocalists Allan Harris and Antoinette Montague.

Randolph Street, announces Grammy-winning country star Lee Ann Womack, legendary disco queen Gloria Gaynor, Grammy Award-winning producer and vocalist Steve Tyrell and more. Ghostlight Records has announced it will record a new cast album of Cole Porter's 1930 musical The New Yorkers. The recording will be based on the 2017 production from New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) Encores!, directed by John Rando with musical direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey. The concert adaptation is by Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel. The album, produced by Rob Berman and Lawrence Manchester, is being recorded March 25-26.

Cyrille Aimee brings her acclaimed show A Sondheim Adventure to the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. Hailed for her interpretations of the Sondheim masterworks, Cyrille Aimee brings a jazzy fresh take to the lovely complexities of the legendary composer's musical theatre masterpieces, and makes them sparkle anew.

Cyrille Aimee's Sondheim Adventure began in 2013, when she was invited to participate in a tribute concert for the Broadway legend at New York's City Center, co-starring with Bernadette Peters and backed by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Her show-stealing performance was widely praised, but the most memorable compliment came from the composer himself. 'You made me cry,' Sondheim told Aimee backstage after opening night. 'That was pretty powerful,' Aimee recalls with a touch of understatement.
