?KAREN WYMAN - the celebrated pop/jazz vocalist currently celebrating a renaissance since her days performing on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "The Dean Martin Show" - will return to The Metropolitan Room on Saturday, January 31 at 7:00 PM. Her engagement at the venue last year was named a "Critic's Pick" by Time Out New York and called "a compelling concert and a totally-inspiring comeback performance" by BroadwayWorld.com. The new evening of music will feature timeless pop standards by Cole Porter, Jule Styne and Harold Arlen, in addition to 1960's classics from The Beatles and Burt Bacharach and her Billboard-charting hit "Why Can't I Walk Away?" Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that Award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in Jesus Christ Superstar, has nabbed the title role in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Kennedy begins performances on March 7, 2015, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who will play her final performance in Beautiful on March 6 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street).
