Irish Repertory Theatre has announced its 2024 Gala concert, Let's Put On A Show! 35 Years of Irish Rep Musicals, which will take place at The Town Hall (123 W 43rd St, New York, NY 10036) on Monday June 3, 2024, at 7PM.

30 years ago, on April 18, 1994, Disney's Beauty and the Beast opened on Broadway at the Palace Theatre. The musical would go on to run for 46 previews and 5462 regular performances, making it the 10th longest-runing Broadway show of all time. 

Charles Kirsch's podcast, Backstage Babble, gives a behind the scenes look at Broadway shows and the theater industry. On Monday April 29th at 7 pm, Kirsch will be hosting a special event at 54 Below paying tribute to 14 shows on the iconic “flop wall” at Joe Allen Restaurant with shows including Merrily We Roll Along, Nick and Nora, and Kelly.

FIFTY KEY STAGE MUSICALS is now being given a one night only concert with the artists who helped create these monumental musicals at 54 Belowwhich will also be live streaming the event around the globe on Wednesday, February 8th, at 7:00pm EST.

Schneider and Shannon Agnew, which rounds-up fifty musicals whose creations were seminal in altering the landscape of musical theater, is now being given a one night only concert with the artists who helped create these monumental musicals at 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club.

This is not a “Best Of” list because it isn’t for me to say what is best, only what resonated with me, but after a lot, a lot, a lot of shows, this New Year's Eve, these shows are still on my mind.
