Last year, Center Stage Theatre unveiled a new performance series for their education students and guests called Broadway at Center Stage. The event brings Broadway stars to Shelton to talk about their experiences growing up in the theater, their personal journeys to Broadway, and their best advice for being successful in the world of professional theater. The evening is capped off with a Q&A, a performance, and a meet and greet with the audience.

As BroadwayWorld reported this week, the Broadway community has been taking a stand with Actors' Equity in the 'Not a Lab Rat' campaign, to increase the minimum salary for developmental labs, as well as get profit sharing for lab participants.Actors' Equity and the Broadway League have been disputing the issue, but Equity says they have reached an impasse and are now officially calling for a strike in a new statement:

High School Drama: Lipscomb Academy's ADDISON McFARLIN and KELLER MONTGOMERY

Like every high school senior before, Lipscomb Academy's Addison McFarlin and Keller Montgomery are trying to store away as many memories as possible during their final year of high school, while maintaining their GPAs, going to class and being a part of campus life. But Addison and Keller are actors, so their schedules are even fuller, particularly this week as they find themselves in the middle to Tech Week for Lipscomb Academy's fall musical Big Fish, directed by Kari Smith.
