Archbishop Rummel High School, a Catholic, Lasallian school for boys in metro-New Orleans, has announced that Rummel Alumnus Brandt Blocker '90 has been named the Director of the Archbishop Rummel Theatre Program, the Genesian Players.

The big news, recently, is that LaDuca, the legendary maker of shoes for dancers, released THE ONE, created for Ms. Lee in honor of the iconic musical, A CHORUS LINE, and her part in keeping alive the legend of Michael Bennett and the extraordinary choreography and staging of the historic Pulitzer Prize and TONY winning musical.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla López, Susan Stroman, Marisha Wallace, and Christopher Wheeldon have joined the growing list of Broadway stars participating in I'm Still Here: A Virtual Benefit for the Billy Rose Theatre Division, airing June 23, 2021 on Broadway On Demand at 8pm EST and 8pm PST. The fundraiser will help raise critical funds for the Library for the Performing Arts' beloved Theatre Division as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and in response to a disturbing trend of crimes targeting Asian communities across the country, BIPOC new works incubator Live & In Color will present four online forums in May featuring and focusing on Asian artists and activists who are changing the future of theater and the world.

The League of Professional Theatre Women will present an Oral History Project event with the 4-time Tony Award-nominated producer Alia Jones-Harvey on Monday, May 24 at 6pm on Zoom. The Oral History Project chronicles and documents the contributions of significant theatre women in all fields.
