The California Desert Chorale (CDC) is proud to present 'We've Got Ritmo' for its upcoming spring concert. This vibrant programis divided into two distinctly different halves, which compliment each other quite nicely.  ACT 1 will feature dynamic, percussive choral music of Latin America, with driving, rhythmic music of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico by Oscar Escalada, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ariel Ramirez.  ACT 2 is devoted exclusively to the extraordinary music of the legendary composer and pianist George Gershwin, including such classic favorites as 'I Got Rhythm', 'Love Is Here to Stay', 'Fascinatin' Rhythm' and 'Someone to Watch Over Me.' The program will culminate with a dazzling medley of songs from Gershwin's only opera, Porgy and Bess.  (more...)
