Arlekin Players has announced the Boston Premiere of The Orchard, featuring Jessica Hecht and Mikhail Baryshnikov, following rave reviews and sold out performances Off-Broadway in New York. Groundswell Theatricals, in association with Cherry Orchard Festival and ShowOne Productions, presents Arlekin Players | (zero-G) Lab's production of this piece, Golyak's new adaptation of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov as translated by Carol Rocamora. 

The Ensemble Company to Present STUPID F**KING BIRD in November

The Ensemble Company, now in their fourth year in residence at Penguin Point Productions located within the Oviedo Mall, will continue its season with Aaron Posner’s Stupid F***ing Bird, “sort of adapted from The Seagull by Anton Chekhov.”  The production will mark the Central Florida debut of the piece, which premiered at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in 2013.

In response, 24/6: A Jewish Theater Company has commissioned a diverse group of 16 playwrights to write 10 minute plays to be performed over the telephone one-on-one by individual volunteers to individual senior citizens and others who are housebound and don't have easy access to the internet.
