According to reports, the CBS talk show The Talk is ending its 15 season run this December. Since its debut in 2010 The Talk, has won 4 Emmy Awards and features a panel of well-known entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, family, celebrity and trending topics of the day. 

CBS announced that its hit drama series BLUE BLOODS will return for a two-part 14th and final season starting on the Network, and available to stream live on Paramount+. A long-time anchor to the Network’s successful Friday night lineup, BLUE BLOODS is Friday’s #1 primetime program and the #3 broadcast drama on television.

Paramount+ has announced the series order for the all-new original series STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY. The series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy.

Disney+ announced today that the popular scripted series, “Diary of a Future President” has been renewed for a second season. 

SHOWTIME and CBS Television Studios have announced they have signed Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning writer and executive producer Clyde Phillips (DEXTER®, NURSE JACKIE) to an overall deal through which he will develop projects for both entities that can air on platforms within or outside the ViacomCBS family. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., and David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios.

Prolific television writer/producer Jennie Snyder Urman has extended her production agreement with CBS Television Studios through 2025. Under the new deal, CBS Television Studios has the exclusive rights to produce all television content created and developed by Urman and her creative partner Joanna Klein through their Sutton Street Productions.

CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced a new original series order for THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, based on the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic film starring David Bowie. The announcement was made during CBS All Access' executive session at the biannual Television Critics Association presentation.

Production started this week in Los Angeles on Disney+'s “Diary of a Female President,” from CBS Television Studios, executive producer Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”) and Rodriguez's production company, I Can and I Will Productions.  Emily Gipson (“Someone Great”) will also executive produce, along with creator Ilana Peña (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) and showrunner Robin Shorr (“The Carmichael Show”). 

ABC announced today that the network has picked up a new iteration of the classic variety show “Kids Say the Darndest Things,” hosted and executive produced by comedic superstar Tiffany Haddish. The hilarious reimagined format showcases a mix of in-studio segments and taped pieces from across the country, all set in front of a live studio audience. The series will capture Haddish's unique voice and sensibility as she interacts with real kids – and their innocently entertaining points of view. “Kids Say the Darndest Things” will air Sundays at 8:00 p.m. EDT during ABC's fall prime-time schedule, providing a solid three-hour block of family-fun programming, starting with “America's Funniest Home Videos” at 7:00 p.m. EDT and continuing with “Shark Tank” at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

Beginning on May 8, The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills will take visitors on a journey to the final frontier when it unveils the immersive multimedia exhibit Star Trek: Discovery–Fight for the Future. This exclusive exhibit will run through July 7 and is free and open to the public.

CBS Television Studios has created a global franchise group that will manage and maximize the expansion of the 'Star Trek' brand beyond the traditional boundaries of linear broadcasting and streaming. This new business unit reports to David Stapf, President of CBS Television Studios.

Paramount Network today ordered 10 one-hour episodes of 68 Whiskey, a new, scripted comedic drama series from Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. Oscar(R)-winner Brian Grazer will serve as an executive producer along with Oscar(R)-winner Ron Howard, Imagine Television Group Chairman Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius), Imagine Television President Samie Kim Falvey and Emmy(R)-nominated Roberto Benabib (Weeds, The Brink, Ally McBeal), who is also set to write. Zion Rubin, the creator of the Israeli television series Charlie Golf One, from which 68 Whiskey has been adapted, will also executive produce, along with Efrat Shmaya Dror (United Studios of Israel) and Danna Stern (yes Studios).

According to Deadline, CBS All Access will develop a Star Trek: Discovery spinoff starring Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians).

CBS has secured a long-term lease on a 260,000 square-foot space located in the city of Mississauga, 18 miles from downtown Toronto, with plans to establish 'CBS Stages Canada,' a multi-use production facility that will include six soundstages, production offices, support facilities and auxiliary services for large-scale television and film production.

CBS Television Studios Extends Overall Deal with Robert and Michelle King for an Additional Three Years

The Television Academy today announced Star Trek as the 2018 Governors Award recipient, recognizing the visionary science-fiction television franchise and its legacy of boldly propelling science, society and culture where no one has gone before. The prestigious award winner was chosen by the Television Academy board of governors and the honor will be presented to CBS Television Studios during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday, September 8, 2018. 

While speaking with Deadline during the TCA's, EVP Original Content Julie McNamara and David Stapf, president of CBS TV Studios, confirmed that Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg's reboot of The Twilight Zone series will begin production within the next couple of months. 

Alex Kurtzman, a prolific writer-producer of film and television and co-creator of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, has extended his production agreement with CBS Television Studios through 2023. Under the agreement, CBS Television Studios will have exclusive rights to produce all television content created and developed by Kurtzman and his Secret Hideout production banner for the next five years. Heather Kadin serves as president of Kurtzman's company, and Aaron Baiers is senior vice president of television.
