Cindrella returns to the Chicago stage for the first time in six years. This unique performance and take on the fairy tale is colorful, bright and fun, and features Asian American Tatiana Chen (Naperville) as Cinderella and welcomes A&A Ballet and Joffrey Ballet veteran, Amber Neumann, back as Stepmother.

Closing the 2023/24 Season, the English National Opera will present a semi-staged concert performance of Béla Bartók’s psychodrama Duke Bluebeard’s Castle on 21 and 23 March at the London Coliseum.

Cinderella the Off-Broadway Musical has revealed its cast for the upcoming production at Players Theatre.

Cinderella comes to Det KGL. Teater next month. Performances will run 27 January - 10 March 2024.

The opera will be presented in Portuguese and will feature black artists, such as soprano Marly Montoni and tenors Jean William and Mar Oliveira among the main characters; with Priscila Bomfim in the musical direction and Julianna Santos in the scenic direction. In celebration of Children's Day, there will be a performance on October 12th, at 5pm.

Sleeping Beauty is now playing at Den Norske Opera. Performances run through 24 September 2023.

'Into the Woods' is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood“, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, and “Cinderella”, as well as several others. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has cursed them, and their journey into the woods. The rendition of Tchaikovsky's ballet by Chiara Ajkun performed by the Ajkun Ballet Theatre is offered in August 2023 by The Face To Face and the Theater Experience in partnerships with SecretNYC and is completed by an after show meet-and-greet the dancers.

This spring, The Royal Ballet celebrates the 75th anniversary of Frederick Ashton's Cinderella with a brand-new production of the much-loved ballet. On Wednesday 12 April 2023, the work will be broadcast live to 977 cinemas in 19 countries, bringing Cinderella's ethereal world of fairy godmothers and pumpkin carriages to audiences around the world.

While many of the well-meaning narrative tweaks and modernized additions do seem slightly forced and somewhat at odds with the story's original innocence, for the most part, this revised CINDERELLA is a genuinely entertaining, effectively escapist musical filled with joy and magic. MTW's production continues through December 18 in Long Beach.
