Yesterday, BroadwayWorld was incredibly saddened to report that Nick Cordero died at 41 years of age at Cedar-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after 91 days in the hospital. Stars from the stage and screen are mourning Cordero's death with touching tributes on social media.

Chronicling the rise of pornography and the multibillion-dollar industry's transformation of American culture, the critically acclaimed drama series THE DEUCE, created by George Pelecanos and David Simon, returns for its nine-episode second season SUNDAY, SEPT. 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Resuming five years after the culmination of the first season, THE DEUCE returns to the world of 1977, capturing the Times Square area of midtown New York at its most garish and volatile.

Last night, sixteen Broadway stars were featured in Broadway Sings Kelly Clarkson, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous fifteen concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna. On August 20, the series will continue with Broadway Sings Alanis Morissette.

Broadway favorites including Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin), Adam Kaplan (A Bronx Tale), and Anthony Lee Medina (Hamilton) join the lineup for the 16th installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series, Broadway Sings Kelly Clarkson, onJune 18. Cast members from Broadway shows including Hamilton, Frozen, Waitress, and Great Comet will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the pop superstar, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.

The acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series will continue on June 18 at 8pm, honoring singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson with a cast of Broadway stars including Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Frankie James Grande (Rock of Ages), Emma Hunton (Next to Normal), and Ashley Park (Mean Girls). The one-night-only concert will feature completely new arrangements of the hits of the pop rock superstar, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.

Especially if your intention is to create a completely madcap music theatre 90's pop/rock concert retelling of the 90's cult classic Cruel Intentions. Well, thank the musical theatre gods someone saw fit to do just that.

The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday night,  March 29th  Broadway Sessions welcomes tcast members from Cruel Intention, the 90's Musical Experience.
