Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Washington Performing Arts' SHIFT: A Festival Of American Orchestras. The festival is a weeklong celebration of the vitality, identity, and extraordinary artistry of North American orchestras through an immersive festival experience in the nation's capital, taking place in Washington, D.C. from March 23-29, 2020.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem presents the second year of its holiday production, A Christmas Carol in Harlem, based on the timeless work by Charles Dickens. This year's production is directed by Carl Cofield based on an adaptation by Shawn René Graham with new choreography by Tiffany Rea-Fisher (Artistic Director of Elisa Monte Dance).This season, the show moves into a three-quarter thrust theater, offering audiences a more intimate theater experience and allowing them to share in the spirit of the show. Cofield has re-imagined large portions of the work to fit this new space and to build on the festive themes throughout the play while allowing the drama of Scrooge's past to unfold. This includes a new set, music pieces, projections, costumes and casting that establishes A Christmas Carol in Harlemas a modern addition to New York City's annual holiday offerings.

Inspired by Bryan Doerries' new version of Euripides' classic Greek tragedy and directed by CTH Associate Artistic Director Carl Cofield, The Bacchae will be performed in the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Harlem's Marcus Garvey Park (18 Mt. Morris Park West, enter the park at 124th and 5th Avenue and walk south to the venue) through Sunday, July 28th (performances are Tuesday through Sunday at 8:30 pm).

Following the success of the 2015 Violins of Hope Education Concerts performed by The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall for nearly 10,000 students, thousands more will enjoy encore presentations of the Violins of Hope Education Concert March 8-10.

CHERCHEZ LA FEMME - a new musical extravaganza inspired by the wildly popular 80's pop song and the Bronx native who wrote it, Kid Creole - will be given its world premiere production by La MaMa, with previews starting May 20 prior to opening night May 23 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) in New York City.  CHERCHEZ LA FEMME is directed by Angie Kristic, with choreography by Kyndra Reevey.

The Cleveland Orchestra presents its second annual Northeast Ohio neighborhood residency from May 17 through 24, 2014, in Lakewood, Ohio. During the residency, the Orchestra will offer musical performances and events throughout the community. These events include performances by Cleveland Orchestra musicians, ensembles from the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorus, a Cleveland Orchestra concert preview, extensive educational programs for local students all culminating with a free concert by The Cleveland Orchestra at Lakewood Civic Auditorium.
