Netflix’s pop culture phenomenon, Stranger Things, is part of a three-way tie with the Hulu comedy, Only Murders in the Building, and the Hulu Limited Series, Dopesick with a total of 9 nominations each. Stranger Things has been the talk of social media ever since its season four debut on May 27th.

A captivating actress as effervescent on-screen as she was off, Murphy was a rising star whose movies helped define a generation. But in 2009, Murphy’s untimely passing ended her promising career, while the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death quickly became fodder for speculation and conspiracy theories.

The iconic Bryant Park Movie Nights series will return on Monday, August 23rd with Clueless starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy and Paul Rudd and on Tuesday, August 24th with Hustlers starring Jennifer Lopez and Will Ferrell. The films begin at sunset, with the lawn open at 5pm for picnicking.

Bryant Park has announced the partial film lineup in its iconic Bryant Park Movie Nights series, which will be returning this summer after being paused due to the pandemic. Entering the 27th season, the series is a welcome return to outdoor events in New York City.

There's pie in the lobby,' answered Ephie Aardema, who plays Jenna's friend and fellow waitress in the show, when asked about why Detroit audiences should see the show. This year they will reach new levels of hilarity with must-see ensemble casts putting their spin on two film favorites. Theatre Communications Group has announced that its 2019 Gala will be directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer and feature performances from Oklahoma!'s Ali Stroker, Hadestown's Patrick Page and Eva Noblezada, and Angels in America's Beth Malone.

'Clueless,' the hit 1995 comedy, will be remade by Paramount Pictures, according to Variety. The studio is developing a remake of film with Tracy Oliver, the writer of “Girls Trip,” producing.

Netflix and Constantin Film announce the start of production of Polar, a Constantin Film/Bolt Pictures co-production, in association with Dark Horse Entertainment. Polar is based on the Dark Horse action noir graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold by Victor Santos.

As if... we can wait any longer! Amy Heckerling's jukebox musical adaptation of the hit '90s film CLUELESS is getting another developmental lab in New York City, according to an Actors' Equity casting notice. The workshop will run July 5 - July 27, 2017.
