Gen Y Productions has announced the full cast of the Florida Premiere of The Flick, playing at the Dr. Phillips Center's Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater June 19 through July 12.

Portraying the role of Avery will be Marcellis Cutler. A graduate of the University of Florida, Marcellis has recently been seen on stage at the Orlando Repertory Theater as Ant in Diary of a Worm, a Spider & a Fly and in A Christmas Story the Musical.

Orlando theater veteran Daniel Cooksley will play the role of Sam. Among many local theater credits, Daniel has starred in numerous productions at the Theatre Downtown including Killer Joe, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Clybourne Park and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Jessica Hope Grossman will play the role of Rose. A graduate of Florida State University, Jessica has recently starred in numerous productions at Universal Studios.

Rounding out the cast will be Coletyn Hentz in the role of Skylar/The Dreaming Man. Coletyn has previously been seen in Time Stands Still at John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, Almost, Maine and Columbinus at Breakthrough Theatre and Cripple of Inishmaan at Valencia College.

Tickets to The Flick are on sale now and can be purchased at www.drphillipscenter.org. Ticket prices range from $35 to $60.

This production of The Flick is produced by Aaron Safer, Managing Member of Gen Y Productions, with direction by Kenny Howard.

Winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, The Flick tells the story of three employees of a rundown movie theater in central Massachusetts who mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35-millimeter film projectors in the state. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the second-run movies on the screen.
