The Orlando Fringe announced today that Broadway star, recording artist, and internet sensation, Carrie Manolakos, would be headlining their annual "Fab Fringe" event on March 20th.

Carrie Manolakos has appeared as Sophie in the Broadway production of "Mamma Mia" as well as Elphaba in the 2nd National Tour of "Wicked." She performed with Phish at Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve and even backed up Peter Dinklage for "Game of Thrones: The Musical," a benefit on NBC for Red Nose Day. Of her cover of Radiohead's "Creep," Gawker said, "[it] will make your ears org*sm." Her newest full-length album, "The 44th Chord," is being released in April.

"Getting an incredible talent like Carrie Manolakos is a major milestone for Orlando Fringe, as we solidify our place on the National stage and continue to raise the bar on the caliber of Artist we bring to Central Florida." said Festival Producer, Michael Marinaccio.

Joining Carrie on the "Fab Fringe" stage is a cast full of Fringe favorites. Scheduled to appear is the local dance troupe: VarieTease, The Orlando Gay Chorus, The Upright Gents, John DeHass and many more! Fringe veteran Eric Pinder will serve as the host for the evening.

"I always love the Fab Fringe fundraiser because it's the first major event of the Fringe Festival season" added Marinaccio "It carries with it all of the excitement of the Artists about their upcoming productions and the anticipation of the fans about what's to come."

General admission tickets are priced at $25. Orlando Fringe is also offering a $50 VIP ticket which includes dinner before the show, a reserved section in the theater, and an after party with entertainment provided by Blue Star and Tod Kimbro with a catered dessert from The Hammered Lamb. Both ticket levels can be purchased through their website OrlandoFringe.org.

"What's a better way to cap off a great night of entertainment than a performance by Blue and Tod." said Marinaccio. "They haven't performed together at Fringe for over three years and to have them back performing for the audience, its going to be amazing."

"Fab Fringe" will take place on Monday, March 20th at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center located at 812 E. Rollins Street, Orlando, Florida 32803. The VIP dinner begins at 6:00pm, with the doors to the event opening at 6:30pm and the show beginning at 7:30pm.

The Orlando Fringe produces The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, the longest running Fringe in the United States. It is a member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF), United States Association of FringeFestivals (USAFF) and the World Fringe Network and follows the CAFF mandate to remain 100% unjuried, 100% uncensored, 100% inclusive, 100% accessible for artists and audiences alike, with 100% of ticket sales given back to the artists.
