Francine Evans was told by one of the nation's "top docs" in the field that she would never sing again, and was devastated. "My world just fell apart", she says. "Singing had been my whole life". Each day she would try to sing, but what came out was not exactly musical, but she kept on trying new ideas.

One day, she heard about Julie Andrews and her vocal problems. Through a mutual physician, she learned that she and Julie Andrews had a similar diagnosis. They had both permanently lost what was once, strong, lyric-soprano voices. "It is a great loss. I mourn for my singing voice constantly" Julie Andrews was heard to say. Evans couldn't have agreed with her more.

With the help of husband Joel Zelnik, Evans continued to work on what was left of her voice, and eventually was able to create a functioning sound. The two of them began to write what would become over a dozen original "shows", each one featuring the talents of the two of them on themes such as "Swinging With Sinatra", "Broadway Magic", "Hooray For Hollywood" and many more. Soon, they found themselves in-demand with a very diverse and appreciative audience.

"DESTINATION: Las Vegas – A Musical Journey" is different from the others. It is written for the NY theatrical stage. Although Evans and Zelnik perform many single engagements in NYC, this is their first foray into Off-Off Broadway. DLV is a musical tribute to the singing headliners of the Las Vegas showrooms and highlights such artists as Sammy Davis Jr., Peggy Lee, Barry Manilow and Frank Sinatra. Songs include "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby", "Accentuate The Positive", "Hound Dog", "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime" and "Minnie The Moocher".
