On Sunday, September 20th, SESSIONS, the candid and witty musical about the everyday life of a New York therapist and his patients, celebrates its 261 performance at the Algonquin Theatre (123 East 24th Street), surpassing the 2001 Off-Broadway show "Bat Boy." SESSIONS is directed by Thomas Cote and written by Albert M. Tapper (From Where I Stand, Broadway: The Golden Age), produced by Jason Hewitt and Tony Sportiello/ Algonquin Theatre Productions. SESSIONS stars Robert Newman, a two-time Daytime Emmy nominee for his longtime work as Joshua Lewis on "Guiding Light."

Featured in the cast with Robert Newman are Bertilla Baker (Titanic, Bernarda Alba), Dennis Holland (Broadway/ National Tour with The Music Man), Scott Richard Foster (Brooklyn the Musical), Drama Desk and Theatre World award winner Ken Jennings (Sweeney Todd, Urinetown), Trisha Rapier (The Boy From Oz- u/s for Liza Minnelli), Kelli Maguire (Swingtime Canteen, A Wonderful Life) Rachelle Rak (Fosse, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Sky Seals (Much Ado About Nothing, Medea).

The creative team includes: Steven Gross (Musical Arrangements, Orchestrations, Supervision), John McDermott (Scenic Design), Penny Ayn Maas (Choreography), Michele Pasqua (Costume Design), Brant Thomas Murray (Lighting Design), Josh Liebert (Sound Design), and James Horvath (Additional Choreography).

SESSIONS plays Wednesday-Saturday at 8pm as well at playing 3pm matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. All seats are $50 and are available by visiting www.smarttix.com or by calling 212-868-4444. Senior and student discount tickets are available for $20.
