John Schreiber, NJPAC's President and CEO, announced today that the Arts Center will be rolling out an ongoing relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Sandy, including designating 2,000 tickets for upcoming performances as relief fund tickets, where 100% of the ticket price will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. All relief fund tickets will be $25 and will be in locations throughout Prudential Hall and the Victoria Theater. The Center will also become a drop-off site for the ongoing collection of goods that will be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

"NJPAC shares its heartfelt empathy for all of the families impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. This great tragedy has put into perspective for all of us what is truly important in life -- family, health, home and safety. As fellow New Jerseyans, Sandy affected all of us personally," said Schreiber. "We want to join the massive efforts to help New Jersey recover and rebuild, and as the State's needs continue to evolve, the Arts Center will do all it can to be useful to our statewide community."

Donated Goods
NJPAC is also encouraging all visitors to bring canned goods and infant items to the Center either before a performance or during normal business hours. All goods will be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, which is distributing 100,000 pounds of food daily to those in need in New Jersey. Of particular need are: meals in a can, canned tuna, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup, shelf-stable milk, cereal, baby food (no glass jars), and diapers. Donations may be brought by ticket buyers to all performances and may also be dropped off by everyone interested in helping anytime during the day in the Arts Center's main entrance rotunda.

As the Center keeps abreast of current needs and opportunities to help New Jersey recover, relief efforts will be adjusted accordingly.
