Mile Square Theatre, the New Jersey Gold Coast's leading performing arts organization, adds another dazzling cultural event to the region: The Hoboken Hoopla Carnival.

The Hoboken Hoopla Carnival is an afternoon of activities that celebrates the human impulse for creativity and expression.

The carnival will feature a wide range of entertaining summer activities and will be great fun for kids and families-bouncy houses, a dunk tank, petting zoo, face-painting, carnival booths, a beer garden, activity booths from arts-related businesses and non-profits. Street performers will stroll through the crowds and there will be a music stage.

Chris O'Connor, Mile Square Theatre Artistic Director says of the event, "We wanted to create an event that will help MST raise some funds for our programming, yet be a fun way for the community to celebrate creativity and summer. We hope to build on this idea in years to come."

Hoboken Hoopla Carnival Saturday, June 20, 12pm to 6pm
Maxwell Place Park, 1025 Maxwell Lane in Hoboken

Mile Square Theatre is supported by The Rockefeller Group, Bijou Properties, Party with Purpose, the Hoboken Family Alliance, and by The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey Council on the Arts/Department of state, a partner agency of the National endowment for the arts and by funds from the national endowment for the arts, administered by the Hudson county office of cultural & heritage affairs, Thomas A. Degise, County Executive, and the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
