Now entering its third mainstage season, the Eagle Theatre of Hammonton, N.J., is looking to raise the bar. For 2014, the company nearly doubled its operating budget, expanded the run of performances from 12 to 15 per production, and recruited several of the region's most accomplished actors, including Broadway veteran Krissy Fraelich, Barrymore Award laureate Tom McCarthy and national recording artist Brian Bortnick.

"The Eagle Theatre name has become synonymous with artist integrity. We are proud to provide our loyal patrons with a riveting season filled with all-star talent. >From rare and daring to classic and crooning, this season is guaranteed to pack a punch." says Ted Wioncek III, co-artistic director of the Eagle Theatre.

The season includes six productions, opening with "Footloose," followed by "Next to Normal" starring Fraelich and Bortnick, "Glengarry Glen Ross" starring McCarthy, "I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett," "The Civil War," and finally "Into the Woods."

Fraelich made her Broadway debut in "The Civil War" under the Tony Award-winning director Jerry Zaks. She has since performed in the national tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and become a mainstay at the Walnut Street Theatre and the Arden Theatre Company.

Known for his band Octane, Bortnick gained notoriety after touring extensively with Breaking Benjamin, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed and Kid Rock. With over 50,000 albums sold, Bortnick is quickly becoming a much sought after theatrical talent as well, having recently starred in "Rent" and "My Way."

President of the Screen Actors' Guild for Pennsylvania/Maryland/Delaware for over 20 years, McCarthy has gained a reputation as one of the region's most prolific actors. He won the Barrymore Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play in 1997 for his portrayal of Willy Loman in "Death of a Salesman" at the Arden Theatre Company. In 2003, McCarthy received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia.

"We are thrilled to present our audience with the most talented artists in the tri-state area. Our patrons have come to expect a level of professionalism and excellence. We look forward to surpassing their expectations," said co-artistic director Ed Corsi.

The Eagle Theatre is bringing in talent behind the scenes, too. Internationally renowned director/choreographer Dann Dunn will serve as the creative force behind the season opener "Footloose," which runs Jan. 17 to Feb. 2.

The Eagle Theatre is currently staging its "Dueling Piano Christmas Show," which runs from Dec. 6 to 14, with performances on Dec. 6, 7, 12 and 13 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for General Admission and $20 for VIP seating at round tables. Tickets can be purchased at www.TheEagleTheatre.com. For more information, please contact the box office at (609) 704-5012.
