Actor/Playwright Frank Ingrasciotta will perform his acclaimed one-man play Blood Type: RAGU next at the Middletown Arts Center, as part of the Savor the Arts Series.

Ingrasciotta portrays over 20 characters in this fast-paced tour-de-force journey and describes the show as, "a funny and heart-warming coming-of-age story exploring the first-generation immigrant child's struggle to finding identity, understanding and healing. Its universal themes resonate to anyone who has a family." Asked how much of the show was autobiographical and how much was fictional, Ingrasciotta replied, "It's 80 percent true, 10 percent my wife's story combined into mine, and 10 percent heightened for drama."

It just returned from an acclaimed Buffalo run at the historic Shea's Performing Arts Center, where it was produced by Tony Award winner and Broadway League Touring CEO Albert Nocciolino. Last year it was awarded top honors at the United Solo Festival for Best Comic Actor and Best Comedic Script. It has also toured theaters and performing arts centers in Albany, Atlanta, Connecticut, New Jersey, Long Island, Staten Island and Atlantic City.
