BWW Previews: NJ PAC Announces Their 2014-2014 Season

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJ PAC) announced a thrilling group of performances for their 2014-2015 Season on Wednesday, May 14th. John Schreiber, NJ PAC's President and CEO and David Rodriguez, Executive Producer of the Arts Center made the announcement which includes collaborations with renowned artists and companies as well as an expansion of their diverse programming. With over 100 events currently on the schedule, more than 60 performances will be added throughout the season as well as a variety of special events.

NJ PAC has distinguished itself as a leading cultural institution in the metropolitan area by presenting the best in Classical Music, Variety, American Song, Dance, Theater, Comedy, Family Performances. The center presents something for all ages and interests.

This season's scheduled performances include popular audience favorites like the TD James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival, Mystic India, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

Among the many highlighted offerings is the recital series piloted with the Met, Metropolitan Opera Rising Stars, and "The Great American Songbook," with two unique new series and live concerts which will be later broadcast. Conversations with the Spoken Word: NJ PAC Stage Exchange will feature the works of New Jersey playwrights about issues like immigration and racial integration.

This year, Fairleigh Dickinson University announces the launch of the New Jersey Speakers Series which will include former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeline Albright and award winning actor, Alan Alda. And, the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival returns to the center in October.

Free events, including the Newark Summer Series, Horizon Foundation Sounds of the City will feature artists like Living Colour, Eddie Palmieri and Funky Meters. All ages will enjoy the Second Annual Family Fair at Theater Square.
