All are invited, all are welcome, to attend an evening with the First Couple of modern American drama-George and Martha. An evening where dancing becomes a howling torment, where cordiality turns into psychosexual competition, where the line between love and hate is rent asunder into a simmering nightmarish landscape of damaged psyches and battered hearts. Drowning in alcohol only brings the murkiest depths into sharper perspective. Reality twists to the whims of the participants; history is perverted through the kaleidoscope of an eternal loss; and the question on everybody's lips, consciously or not: WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

Edward Albee's masterpiece startled an unsuspecting public in 1962 with its visceral portrayal of marital discord, and has earned its reputation as an American classic by remaining just as sharp, hilarious, tragic, achingly compelling even after more than half a century.

The rapid fire wit and mesmerizing command of language propel the story forward via twists and turns that never threaten to grow old.

Just as houseguests Nick and Honey, the audience is drawn further and further into the madness over the course of three acts. The question of the dark secrets clung to by both couples grows and becomes a living spectre before your eyes, all leading up to the emotionally explosive conclusion that never fails to leave audiences stunned.

The Players' Ring hosts this theatrical milestone with up-and-coming director Matthew Richards and the extraordinary talent of Cullen DeLangi, James Sears, Molly Dowd Sullivan, and Constance Witman.

WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF contains mild language, strong sexuality and possibly disturbing, adult themes. It may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
