Seacoast Repertory Theatre will present their 6th Mainstage Musical, Godspell, tonight, September 5th-September 27th 2014. Directed by Craig Faulkner and choreographed by Johnnie Pirroni, Godspell gets stripped down and reimagined with a revised score and script from the 2012 Broadway revival.

"What people can expect is a totally different take on Godspell..." says Artistic Director, Craig Faulkner. "We wanted to focus on telling the story and it's teachings, as opposed to focusing on the 'clowning' aspect of the show. People will be blown away by the revamped score and the actors themselves. You've never seen Godspell done like this."

Godspell is a beloved American musical that follows the gospels and parables of Jesus Christ. The score by Stephen Schwartz is one musical theater's most well known scores. Godspell features such classic songs as "Day By Day", "We Beseech Thee" and "On The Willows".

Godpsell will be run Sept. 5-Sept. 27th, 2014 at Seacoast Repertory Theatre. Shows are Thur-7:30pm, Fri-8:00pm, Sat.-8:00pm, and Sun. -2pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.seacoastrep.org, in person at 125 Bow Street Portsmouth, NH 03801, or over the phone at 603.433.4472.
