Mary Gatchell to Teach 2014 Leddy Summer Camps and Private Lessons

Mary Gatchell is a singer/songwriter in NYC, a graduate of NYU, who performed with The Rolling Stones as back-up singer in their 50th Anniversary tour in NYC for three concerts last year. Mary most recently is sole accompanist for The Wizard of Song,an off Broadway musical celebrating the life and music of Harold Arlen, composer of The Wizard of Oz. Mary also worked with Glenn Close this past month, accompanying Ms. Close in her preparation for a new hit Broadway movie featuring Glenn Close, singing "As If We Never Said Goodbye" from Sunset Boulevard.

Soon, Mary Gatchell will be coming on from NYC to teach the Sing Out I voice camp at Leddy Center, June 23-June 27, for 6 to 9 year olds, 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Leddy Center's beautiful theater on Ladd's Lane in Epping. Campers will learn Broadway songs, perform solos, duets, and choral numbers, along with choreography for each, as well as compose their own song! Campers culminate this wonderful camp by performing with Mary at Mary's concert at Leddy, October 3! This wonderful camp takes place in Leddy's main stage theater for a real theater experience.

Mary's second voice camp, Sing Out II, will be June 30 through July 3, for 10 to 14 year olds with two and three hour sessions each day for a real concentrated musical experience! They, too, will sing solos,duets, choral numbers with choreography and compose their own song, culminating with a performance with Mary on stage live on October 3, when Leddy Center presents Mary Gatchell in Concert! Mary is also available for private piano and voice lessons, June 23-July 3.
