See local talent shine as students of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Conservatory of Performing Arts, or COPA, take the stage in Another Openin', Another Show on Dec. 19.

The cast of about 35 students of COPA's Musical Theatre Wheel will celebrate the "Best of Broadway," with musical revue that includes scenes and songs from Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, Hairspray and others. The show will be presented on stage at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.

Dr. Robert Sharon will provide musical direction for the show.

The talented students, in grades 2-12, have been rehearsing such classic songs as One, A Bushel and a Peck and Luck be a Lady for severAl Weeks.

"This is a wonderful group," said Julie Rowe, COPA director of education. "Each student has made great strides and I'm so looking forward to watching them perform on the big stage."

The students have trained with such instructors as: Brian Andrews, who starred in the Broadway casts of Cats and A Chorus Line; Glenn Powell, who starred in a national tour of 1776; Kerry Rocks, a Palm Beach Opera soprano; Lea Roy, a playwright; Cecelia Schieve, former director of opera at Boston Conservatory; and Kristine Tempel, who created "South Florida Outreach" for after-school programs throughout Palm Beach County.

Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for students. To purchase tickets, call the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's box office at (561) 575-2223.
