Actors Forum Theatre and Magic Tree Productions present Brandon Scott's Wizards and Fools: The Hallows' Fool Moon Magic Show produced by Audrey M. Singer and Brandon Scott. The show is centered around a quirky family preparing for a Hallows' Eve and night of the Fools Moon, a very special night as it happens only once every 100 years. Excitement is in the air as relatives from both sides of the family. the wizards and the fools, gather from everywhere for this grand celebration. At the stroke of the Fool Moon, a magic show is performed that helps all remember the story of their ancestral make believe reality. This otherworldly magic show interweaves storytelling, magic, music, comedy and dance into a unique theatrical tapestry. Not your normal abracadabra...

The show runs September 25th - October 25th.

Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, Sundays at 7:00 PM.

About the Production Team...

Brandon Scott (Creator/Director/Wizardwick) Most recently starred in the film "A Dog and Pony Show". He is a recurring headliner at the Magic Castle and the Renaissance Pleasure Faire and has performed at Caesars Palace, The Hollywood Bowl, Disneyland and the Microsoft Theater (formerly the Nokia Theater). Integrating talents as an actor, magician, songwriter and comedian, he has created dozens of stage and TV shows in both English and Spanish His theatrical roles run the gamut from Theseus in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to Papa Pepe in El Grande De Coca Cola. He has appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, BBC, The Disney Channel, Telemundo, Galavision and Univision.

Audrey Marlyn Singer (Producer) has produced every play that originated at the Actors Forum and for the last 36 years has acted in, or directed many of the productions. Her directing credits include Messing with Destiny, A Hatful of Rain, 2 Rooms in the Valley, Culture Shock, The Only Game in Town, Riddle Me This, Box 27, Julie and Friends, Bert and Friends, Hollywood and Lavine, Journey to the Unknown, Late Blooming Mama, The Gang's All Here, Passengers and more. She has also encouraged many new playwrights by producing and/or directing their original works such as Pulling Leather by Ted Ryan which was developed at Actors Forum Theatre.

Larry Minion (Consulting Producer) Developing projects from the ground up, Larry was instrumental in the founding of Resolutions Theatre Co. and the Hypothetical Theatre Co. in NY and is best known for helping to create and produce theatrefofo, another trend-setting theatre company. Larry has produced many acclaimed and award -winning shows from the techno-opera "Bluegirl" to countless number of touring shows and has worked with the Roundabout Theatre Co. and Second Stage Theatre Co. on Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.

About the Cast...

Larry Lederman (Uncle Mort/Composer/Keyboards) Over the past five decades, Larry has appeared in almost a hundred plays and musicals in New York, LA, and on tour, and has directed dozens of productions as well. He's also performed as a keyboardist, big-band singer, and cabaret entertainer in venues from coast to coast. For the past 20 years, he's portrayed about 40 different patients for the UCLA and USC medical schools and UCLA's groundbreaking nursing orientation program.

Billy Revel (Composer/arranger/Piano/Uncle Harry) was born to a musical family in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Manhattan in his early teens. He performed in and around NY as well as in Europe. He was fortunate to study music under Nadia Boulange in France. Now living in LA, Billy has appeared at the Alex Theatre, The Henry Ford Theatre, The Skirball Center, The Bistro Garden, as well as at several A- list VIP parties. He has been the musical director at Actors Forum Theatre for more than 15 years and has appeared in many of the productions.

Jeannie Hudak (Pea Brain) is a native New Yorker and an alumnus of Trinity Square Repertory Conservatory in Providence, Rhode Island. Jeannie has a created a One-Woman Cabaret show singing songs made popular by Fanny Brice, Judy Garland, Roaring 20s Flappers, and other vintagetunes. She has performed at The Groundings, and continues to pursue working in commercials, TV and voiceover.

Christine O'Nan (Twindilida) is an actor with experience in theatre, improvisational comedy, public speaking, and dance. She is a well-known and respected belly dancer and is the director of the fusion dance group Feroce Dance - "feroce" meaning "fierce" in Italian and French. The group specializes in a variety dance disciplines including hip hop, jazz, and modern. An experienced actor, she has been featured in a various TV shows and commercials.

Jessica Forrest (Twindilidi) is a native of the San Fernando Valley and been involved in the performing arts most of her life. In 2010, she joined Tribal Fusion troupe 2-Hip Tribal and since then, she has studied under various renowned Tribal Fusion belly dance teachers such as Zoe Jakes, Anadha Ray, Sherie Wheatley, Ariellah, and Aradia Sunseri. She took-up playing the frame drum two years ago studying this most ancient of instruments with Miranda Rondeau, as well as Charles Thomas from The Twisted Gypsy Musicians.

Kassandra Corral "Sparkles" (Starshine) is a costumer, designer and dancer who loves comedy improvisation.She last worked with Brandon Scott in the production of Underwater Cabaret in support of Heal The Bay in Santa Monica, C.A.

Cathryn MacEllerhan Saahira (Wanda/Producer/Choreographer) Born of a gypsy witch at sea, Saahira has been dancing through life full of mystery and magic. Seeking visions atop a Mayan pyramid, sailing thru time with a galley of pirates, in the wind on a fast horse, these are but a few of her many adventures.

Duane Thorin (Cousin D/Guitar) is a top LA vocal performer, as his rhapsodic original act THORIN, or as Chef Duanio, the dashing culinary Italian heartthrob, on the Jimmy Kimmel stage for the nationally streamed San Gennero Festival. His versatile voice and acting encompasses Shakespeare roles, as well as his Celtic and Italian vocal forays. He regularly hosts and produces the West Coast Jamboree Live, a Grand Ole Opry of the internet.

Elsie Campos (Guest Artist) is a notable soprano with an professional international career that has included performances in the United States, and with the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra in several regions of Mexico. She has performed at the Frida Kahlo Theatre, The Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, The Egyptian Theatre, The Long Beach Theatre, and at Los Angeles 001.

Julie Barry (Singer-Pre-Show) made her professional debut in opera as a child, and continued as an adult, in musical theatre. She has appeared in numerous plays, independent films, commercials, and music videos. As a special education teacher, Julie has written and directed plays and musicals for children as well as adults, and has been a dance and musical therapist for teens in detention centers and adults in psychiatric facilities and prisons. She currently entertains seniors in private clubs, residences, and rehab hospitals. Julie is a member of the Actors Forum Theatre.
